Lahore Karachi Motorway

ISLAMABAD: Construction work of Karachi-Lahore Motorway (KLM) which would benefit a huge population of the country will be completed by September 2017.

According to official sources, the Karachi-Lahore Motorway would facilitate people commuting between Karachi and other major cities of the country including Sukkur, Badin, Ghotki, Rohri, Dadu, Pano Aqil, Abro, Rahim yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Zahir Pir, Jalalpur Peerwala Abdul Hakim, Pir Mahal (Pir Mehal), Mamo Kajan and Nankana Sahib.

The length of motorway will be 1160 kilometre and will also serve for speedy and early trading of goods in different parts of the country, said the official. He said that funds have already been released for land acquisition of the project and construction work would likely to start by year end.

Karachi-Lahore Motorway will start from Hub Karachi and end at the Babu Sabo interchange at Lahore, he said. Replying to a question, he said the government was committed to providing comfortable and affordable transport facilities to its citizens within minimum possible time.

He said that last week Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the Karachi-Multan-Lahore motorway project and its 387km Sukkur-Multan section at a rationalised cost of Rs259.353bn. Ten per cent cost of the project will come from the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and the rest from credit financing by the Chinese government.

The project envisages construction of six-lane Sukkur-Multan section of the 1148km, including building of bridges, interchanges, nullahs, etc.

ECNEC also approved a project for land acquisition, compensation of affected properties and relocation of utilities for the motorway at a rationalised cost of Rs51bn.

15نومبر جمعرات کا دن پیر محل کی تاریخ میں امر ہو گیا جب خادم اعلیٰ پنجا ب میا ں شہبا ز شریف نے گو رنمنٹ بو ائز ہا ئی سکو ل نمبر 1 کے گراونڈ میں ایک تا ریخی جلسہ عا م سے خطا ب کے دوران 1927 سے سب تحصیل کادرجہ رکھنے والے شہر پیر محل کو تحصیل کا درجہ دینے کا اعلان کر کے جلسہ گا ہ میں مو جو د ہزاروں افراد کے چہروں پر مسکراہٹیں بکھر دیں ،پیر محل کے لیے تحصیل کا اعلان ہو تے ہی جلسہ گا ہ میا ں شہباز شریف زندہ با د کے نعروں سے گونج اٹھی، جلسہ کے شرکا ء ایک دوسرے کو گلے مل کر مبارکبا د یں دیتے رہے ۔ جب جلسہ کی کا روائی کا آغا ز ہوا تو کسی کے وہم وگمان میں بھی نہ تھا کہ آج پنجا ب کے نقشہ پر ایک اور تحصیل اضافہ ہو نے جا رہا ہے سابقہ وفا قی وزیر چو ہدری اسد الرحمن نے مطا لبا ت کا سپا س نا مہ پیش کیا تو سب سے پہلا مطا لبہ پیر محل کو تحصیل کا درجہ دینے مطا لبہ ہی تھا اگر پیر محل کے ما ضی پر نظر ڈور ا ئی جا ئے تو یہ شہر قیا م پا کستا ن کے بعد سے مسلسل مسا ئل کا شکا ر رہاہے ،اس شہر سے وسا ئل لیکر مسا ئل دیے جا تے رہے جبکہ پیر محل کو تحصیل کا درجہ دلا نے کے لیے متعدد سیا سی نما ئندوں نے اپنی الیکشن کمیشن کو چا ر چا ند لگا ئے دیواروں پر وال چا کنگ کروائی۔ جو آج بھی انکی بے وفا ئی کی گو اہ ہے مگر ووٹ لیکر شہر کے عوام سے کیا گیا وعدہ بھول گئے مگر یہ با ت روز روشن کی طرح عیا ں ہے

اپنے شہر کی قسمت کو بد لنے کے لیے شہر نو جو انوں نے 30اپریل 2009 مقصود احمد کی قیا دت میں پیر محل تحصیل بنا و تحریک کی بنیا د رکھی ۔پیر محل کو تحصیل کادرجہ دینے کے علا وہ شہر اور مضافا تی آبا دیو ں کے لیے 32 کروڑ روپے کی گرا نٹ سے میٹھے پا نی کی فرا ہمی ،سابقہ اٹا رنی جنرل آف پا کستا ن چو ہدری فا روق احمد مرحو م 
کے لخت جگر فا روق رضا مر حوم کے نام سے منسوب اڑھا ئی کروڑ رو پے



کی لاگت سے تعمیر ہو نے والی لا ئبریری کا سنگ بنیا د رکھنے کے علا وہ شہر کی صحا فی برادری نے بھی مسلسل کئی سا لو ں تک اپنا قلمی جہا د جا ری رکھا ،قیا م پا کستا ن سے قبل کی سب تحصیل پیر محل کو تحصیل کا درجہ ملنے کے بعد حلقہ میں تعمیر وترقی کا نیا شروع ہو گا۔ تو سینکڑوں بے روز گا ر پڑھے لکھے افراد کے لیے روز گا ر کے مواقعے بھی پیدا ہو نگے اگر NA 94 کی سیا ست کی با ت کی جا ئے تو جو ڑ توڑ عروج پر ہے ۔حلقہ میں سابقہ وفا قی وزیر چوہدری اسد الرحمن کے بھتیجے چو ہدری مصطفےٰ رمدے ایڈوکیٹ کے حلقہ ان ہو نے سے مسلم لیگ کا پلڑ ا بھا ری دکھا ئی دیتا ہے حکو مت پنجاب کی جا نب سے پیر محل کو تحصیل کا درجہ دیا جا نا اور کروڑوں روپے کا پیکپج اس با ت کی عکا سی کرتا ہے کہ مسلم لیگ (ن) حلقہ NA 94 کی قومی اسمبلی کی نشست ہر حا ل میں جیتنا چا ہتی ہے۔اگر سابقہ انتخا با ت کی با ت کی جا ئے تو چوہدری اسد الرحمن انتہا ئی بد قسمت رہے کہ انکے نیچے ا نتخاب لڑنے والے تینوں امیدوار صوبا ئی اسمبلی جیت گئے تھے مگر خود اعصاب شکن مقابلہ کے بعد ہار گئے ،شکست کو خندہ پیشا نی سے قبول کر تے ہو ئے ،انہو ں نے عوامی خد مت جا ری رکھی اور شریف برادران کے دورہ جلا وطنی میں بھی شدید دبا ؤ کے باوجود اپنی پا رٹی کا ساتھ نہ چھوڑا پندرہ نو مبر کو جلسہ کے دوران انہوں نے یہ بھی اعلا ن برملا کیا کہ میری زندگی کا ہر سانس اپنی پا رٹی کے لیے وقف ہے اور قسمت بھی بہادر لوگوں کا ساتھ دیتی ہے اگر ان پر ایک پائی کی کر پشن بھی ثابت ہو جا تی ہے ،مگر یہ بھی انکا خا صا ہے کہ انہوں نے کبھی وعدوں کا سہا را نہیں لیاپیر محل کے عوام کو تحصیل کے تحفے سے بڑھ کر کو ئی تحفہ نہیں دے سکتے تھے ، جوکہ حلقہ پیرمحل کا دیر ینہ مطالبہ بھی تھا۔عوام نے خادم اعلیٰ پنجاب کا فقید المثال استقبال کر نے کے لئے شہر کے گلی کوچوں کو دلہن کی طرح سجایا تھا،جبکہ میاں شہباز شریف نے بھی انہیں مایوس نہیں کیا تحصیل کا انمول تحفہ ان کی جھولی میں ڈال کر ثابت کردیا کہ میں حقیقی معنوں میں صوبہ پنجاب کی عوام کا خادم ہیں، مگر یہ عوام کا بھی فرض ہے کہ آئندہ انتخابات میں اپنے ووٹ کا فیصلہ اپنے ضمیر کے مطابق کریں کیونکہ ووٹ ایسی طاقت ہے جس سے ملک قوم کی تقدیر بدل جاتی ہے مگر پیرمحل کے شہر یوں کے چہروں پر پھیلی مسکراہٹیں یہ ظاہر کرتی ہیں کہ وہ دل رل وجان سے خادم اعلیٰ پنجاب میاں محمد شہباز شریف کے ساتھ ہیں

History

It's an old village but population is not a lot. First in this village some Sikh families lived but when Pakistan found then Sikh families left the village and settled in India. Similarly, Some Muslim families left the India and settled in this village.

PTBT demands tehsil status for Pirmahal

TOBA TEK SINGH - Pirmahal Tehsil Banao Tanzeem  Chairman Dr Maqsood has said that opportunist politicians of Pirmahal area were doing nothing to get Pirmahal status of tehsil but when it will be declared as tehsil, they will try to get its credit in their names. He was addressing a press conference here. He said that CM should fulfill his promise which he had made three years ago during a visit and should give Pirmahal the status of tehsil.   –Reporter

Tanzeem General Secretary advocate Mian Zahid Hussain was also present on the occasion.
